Date de publication mercredi 22 mai 2013
Next Anti-War Vigil : Saturday, 25 May, 2013 from 3pm to 5pm(15h à 17h) at La Fontaine St Michel. Paris.
Dear Members and Friends,
On Saturday, May 25, AAW will hold its traditional monthly antiwar vigil, which will be showing solidarity for Bradley Manning, a US soldier held in military custody in the United States for having provided Wikileaks with documents revealing US military atrocities in Iraq, the true extent of civilian casualties there and other abuses. June 1st will mark the beginning of Bradley Manning’s fourth year in prison and the start of his trial. The June 1st Ft. Meade protest for Bradley Manning will be the largest action of our campaign ! People across the nation (and the globe) will converge on Ft. Meade to stand up for the Army whistle-blower who risked everything to give the public real facts about our government’s wars in the Middle East and foreign policy worldwide.
The vigil will also show solidarity with Lynne Stewart, who has devoted her life to the oppressed and has unjustly been charged and convicted for the “crime” of providing her client with a fearless defense. The prosecution of Lynne Stewart is an assault upon the basic freedoms of us all.
We welcome all who want to say No to the War, No to NATO, No to NATO occupation of Afghanistan.
